In 2007, the YTF initiated its College Tennis Academy Award Program to assist high school varsity tennis players and USTA junior tournament level players ages 15-18, in obtaining college scholarships through attendance at the College Tennis Academy, at the University of South Florida, in December and June each year.
NOTE:Deadline this year was May 1st. Please check back later if you would like to submit your application for the College Tennis Academy Program.
The College Tennis Academy includes on-court collegiate style drills and matchplay competition, college tennis search and scholarship information seminars, roundtable discussions with college coaches, hotel accommodations, meals and 24-hour adult supervision. The staff of the College Tennis Academy consists totally of current head men’s and women’s college tennis coaches.
The Youth Tennis Foundation (YTF) was created in 1962 by several tennis enthusiasts who wished to create a patrons organization.
Until recently, the YTF was the only state-wide patrons group in the State of Florida. Due to a recent bequest from a tennis enthusiast, the YTF looks forward to continuing its quest to promote and nourish youth tennis programs in the state of Florida.
